Victor E. DeRubeis is a multifaceted communications professional based in Weymouth, MA.

Most recently he was managing editor of The Daily Item/Itemlive.com, which set the agenda for Boston news outlets in its coverage of Boston's North Shore.

Previously he worked for Boston.com, one of the largest news sites in the US, and New England Cable News. He was part of the award-winning editing team that produces The Patriot Ledger of Quincy, MA, the largest news organization on Boston's South Shore,  and also worked at The Salem News of Salem, MA.

In June 2010 he completed an intensive week-long workshop in multimedia storytelling at the Knight Digital Media Center at the University of California-Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.

In addition to his media work, he's also a classical pianist / organist / choral director, founder of the concert series Music at Sanctuary Hall, a long-distance fund-raising cyclist, and black belt in kempo karate and certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise.
